Spain Tax Return 2025: How to Book a Hacienda Phone Call and What Documents You Need
The Phone Assistance Service Is Now Open
Spain's Agencia Tributaria (Hacienda) has launched its phone assistance service for the 2025 declaración de la renta, giving taxpayers the option to have a tax adviser call them directly to help complete and submit their return. The service, known as "Le Llamamos" (We Will Call You), is available to book until June 29, with the hard deadline for submitting tax returns falling on June 30.
Last year, more than 1.18 million declarations were completed through the phone assistance programme — making it one of the most widely used tools available to taxpayers who prefer not to navigate the online process alone.
How to Book a Slot
You can book a "Le Llamamos" appointment through:
- The Agencia Tributaria website
- The official Agencia Tributaria app
- By calling 913 33 53 33 directly
When booking, you select either a morning or afternoon time slot. The system then assigns a specific date and time, and a Hacienda adviser calls you at that time to walk you through your declaration and help you submit it during the call.
Who Can Use the Service
"Le Llamamos" is available to:
- Employees
- Pensioners
- Taxpayers with limited investment or rental income
- Certain taxpayers using the módulos system (simplified tax estimation)
Documents to Have Ready
Before your appointment, make sure you have the following to hand:
- Identification documents
- Your tax reference number (NIF or NIE)
- Bank account details
- Property information
- If applicable: receipts and supporting documents for rental income, home sales, grants, or deductions
Special Support for Rural Residents
For residents aged 65 and over living in municipalities of fewer than 3,000 people, personalised in-person assistance is available by appointment. This service is designed for areas with limited access to administrative services.
Watch Out for Tax Scams
Tax filing season brings an increase in fraud attempts. Be cautious of unsolicited calls, text messages, or WhatsApp messages claiming to be from Hacienda. The only legitimate number from which Hacienda will call you as part of "Le Llamamos" is 913 33 53 33. Do not share personal or financial information with any other contact claiming to represent the tax authority.
