One Night, Hundreds of Free Events

Málaga's Noche en Blanco — one of the city's most anticipated cultural evenings of the year — returns on Saturday, May 16, running from 8:00pm to 1:00am. This year's theme is "The future is written in music", and the city's historic centre will be transformed into a free, open-air celebration of art, live music, and culture.

Almost all events are free to attend, and the full programme is centred around the historic centre — making it easy to explore on foot across the five-hour evening.

Free Museum Entry

Three of Málaga's flagship cultural venues will open their doors for free on the night:

  • Picasso Museum
  • Pompidou Centre Málaga
  • CAC Málaga (Contemporary Art Centre)

Live Music Throughout the City

Music is at the heart of this year's programme. Expect open-air concerts spanning flamenco, jazz, pop and gospel, along with one of the evening's signature moments: singers performing from balconies along the iconic Calle Larios, with short concerts offered throughout the night. Street performances and dance shows will fill the spaces in between.

In a particularly original touch, selected bus routes will feature live music on board between 8:00pm and 10:00pm.

Light Shows and Night Visits

As darkness falls, light projections and installations will illuminate the Cathedral and City Hall, with creative installations spread across the city. Special night visits to the Alcazaba, Málaga's Moorish fortress, and tours of the English Cemetery are also part of the programme.
