A Night (or Two) of Pure 70s Nostalgia

Platform shoes optional, but enthusiasm mandatory. Johnny G — one of the Costa del Sol's most beloved entertainers — is returning to the Salon Varietes Theatre in Fuengirola with a brand new show: Legends of the 1970s. Performances run on Saturday, May 2 at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 3 at 7pm, making it a perfect long weekend treat for music lovers of all ages.

The Line-Up

Few decades in music history produced a more extraordinary roster of artists than the 1970s, and this production brings the biggest names to life in a single evening. Expect electrifying tributes to:

  • Queen
  • Elvis Presley
  • Elton John
  • Donna Summer
  • Cher
  • Barbra Streisand
  • Tina Turner
  • Rod Stewart
  • Dolly Parton
  • Neil Diamond

Glam rock, disco, country-pop and soul — the full sweep of one of pop music's greatest decades, all in one show.

The Cast

Johnny G will be joined on stage by a full team of dancers and backing singers, plus two special guests: Laura Carter and Kim Chandler. Choreography has been created by Dannielle Gale, adding a fresh visual dimension to what is already an exceptional musical programme.

40 Years of Salon Varietes

Legends of the 1970s arrives in a significant year for the venue itself — 2026 marks Salon Varietes Theatre's 40th anniversary. For four decades, it has been the Costa del Sol's premier English-speaking entertainment hub, and it continues to draw packed houses for productions that punch well above what you might expect from a theatre of its size in a Spanish coastal town.

Booking

Early reservation is strongly advisable — Johnny G shows sell out. Tickets are available:
