2026 FIFA World Cup: Full Schedule, All 48 Teams and Spain's Group H Fixtures
The Biggest World Cup Ever
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest ever staged, with 48 teams competing across 12 groups in venues across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19.
For the first time, the top two teams from each group advance along with the eight best third-placed teams, meaning 32 nations will enter the knockout rounds.
Spain's Group H: Fixtures and Dates
Spain, the highest-ranked team in the tournament, has been drawn in Group H alongside Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. Here are the fixtures:
- Monday 15 June — Spain vs Cape Verde, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
- Sunday 21 June — Spain vs Saudi Arabia, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
- Friday 26 June — Uruguay vs Spain, Estadio Akron, Guadalajara (Mexico)
The group is navigable but far from easy — Uruguay are always dangerous, Saudi Arabia shocked Argentina at the last World Cup, and Cape Verde will have nothing to lose.
England's Group L
England have been drawn in Group L with Croatia, Ghana and Panama:
- Friday 17 June — England vs Croatia, AT&T Stadium, Arlington (Texas)
- Tuesday 23 June — England vs Ghana, Gillette Stadium, Foxborough (Massachusetts)
- Saturday 27 June — Panama vs England, MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford (New Jersey)

Tournament Format
FIFA has introduced a new format to ensure competitive balance. Two separate pathways to the semi-finals have been created so that the two highest-ranked teams cannot meet before the final if they both win their groups. That means Spain (ranked 1st) and Argentina (ranked 2nd) are on opposite sides of the draw — as are France (3rd) and England (4th).
Knockout Round Schedule
- Round of 32: June 28 – July 3
- Round of 16: July 4 – 7
- Quarter-finals: July 9 – 11
- Semi-finals: July 14 – 15
- Final: July 19, MetLife Stadium, New Jersey
